Help us welcome Kitty into our herd. Kitty is a beautiful doe! We're thrilled to have her here with us. Kitty handily won her MCH status this year in tough competition, going on to take the Champion Challenge class by storm! She's an incredible doe, who produces incredible offspring. As many of you know, Kitty is dam to the late beautiful Lucille. I cannot thank Keith and Marie Harrell enough for allowing this beautiful girl to join us. I am overwhelmed. At 12 years old, Kitty is still going strong. She's still just as gorgeous as her picture...she's still one of our top milkers. And she's still producing beautiful offspring.

This is Panacea. Another exquisite doe! We took Panacea to her very first show as a junior and she walked out of there with three Grand Champion rosettes...1st in her class under all four judges! Not too shabby! This little gal's pedigree is outstanding! With 5 of the 6 animals in just 2 generations being Master Champions. Panacea's udder is socked on and beautiful! Her foreudder is perfect! She has wonderfully milkable teats, of nice size and softness. Panacea earned her *D status on a one day test milking 3.3 pounds with a butterfat content of 5.2%. Another doe we will build heavily on! She's just fabulous!

This lovely young doe is Shaboom. Shaboom has hit her stride this year. She's hitting the showring full force. As a third freshener, she's come in with a super mammary system, being high, wide and tight in the rear with near perfect teat placement. At our most recent show, after winning Grand Champion, she stood in the Best Doe in Show line-up. The judge commented that the award was between the Nigerian and the Nubian, also commenting that the Nigerian had the best udder in the entire show that day! Needless to say, we were quite pleased with our girl! Congratulations Shaboom...you deserve it!

Half sister to our favorite, Shaboom, we couldn't resist adding this beautiful lady to our lineup. Her sire, Commanche is one we've admired for a long time. It's great to be adding his genetics through her. As we get to know Betty, we like her more and more! She's as sweet as the day is long, but more importantly, she's BUILT! I love her tremendous length and levelness. And that width?! Well, you can see for yourself! She's matured beautifully! Her first time in the ring, miss Betty stunned us all and took her Grand. She then went on to grab Best Junior Doe in Show over all the other breeds. We are thrilled! Betty freshened with one of the best quality mammary systems we've seen so far. Being high and wide in the rear, long lateral attachments, near perfect medial suspensory ligament and a fore udder that is smoothly blended into her belly. She's also milking like a champ! I'm seeing stars in her future!

And this doe is one of my favorites! Giddy-Up is line bred on some of the best genetics available in the breed today. And my has she come through beautifully! She's absolutely incredible! Giddy-Up along with her dam Mimnet won Dam/Daughter pair at the 2004 NDGA National Show! The lovely Giddy took her grand at our first show of the 2005 season. As you can see by the photo above, Giddy freshened with a lovely socked on mammary system! She earned her *D status on her one day milk test earning her the honor of being a fourth generation milker. Giddy has since finished her championship with AGS and we're now working toward her dual championship with ADGA. She's getting some stiff competition from our younger girls though, so she has to work for it! I bred Giddy to Fire this year, hoping for a lovely doe kid to follow in her footsteps. Keeping fingers crossed!

This is Doo Wop...and ain't she pretty? I LOVE Doo Wop! She has that show ring, "look at me" attitude that just stuns the judges. She's not a perfect doe...none of them are...but she's got a heck of a lot going for her, from her long, lean, dairy neck to her lovely flat rump. Then you see that beautiful mammary system! Two things I'd like to change about Woppy, she's a bit posty in her rear legs and she could be a little sharper in the withers. I don't know though...they just don't get much better than this girl. At 19 3/4 inches...she's a pretty darn nice package if you ask me!

This little doe is out of our farm princess Panacea, and she knows it! Tranquility is proving to be one of the most elegant does we've put on the ground. Tranquility freshened with a socked on udder very much a combination of Panacea's and Lucille's. Quite frankly, that's very exciting to us! I'd like to see longer teats, however she milks easily and milks down to absolutely nothing! Tran has to compete with a lot of my other does, so grabbing those grands has been tough. I cannot count the number of times she's stood in that line-up. One of these days it'll come to her.***And indeed it did. Tran grabbed two grands, just like that!*** Tranquility is proving her worth not only as a show doe, but a brood doe as well. Dam to Shimmer...who speaks for herself! and and up and comer; Feisty. Whew! Gorgeous!

What can I say about Keena except WOW! The result of a total outcross for us, completely uncertain of the outcome, and look what I get....this fantastic young lady that everyone admires, who finishes her first time out as a Senior Doe...as a yearling no less. What I don't like about Keena is she elbows out a bit...what I do like about her is everything else. She's absolutely lovely conformationally...and as far as that mammary system is concerned, it doesn't get much better. She's milking up a storm as well. She earned her milk star in protein & butterfat...missed that production star by one measly pound. ARGH! Should have paid closer attention! At any rate...Keena isn't going anywhere...she'll do it again.

Don't you just love a black doe? How bout one with some white splashes for a little extra pizzazz?! This little doe has that and more. A mammary system that is snuggly attached and just lovely. I sold Blackbird as a kid to Ginger Parker at Gotta B Kidn Dairy Goats down in Gainsville, Florida. Ginger proudly noted that Blackbird was the first goat she showed all by herself to earn her championship also noting that all three of her legs were won in milk. All I can say is, congratulations to Ginger and Blackbird... you all have made me proud! :o)

This beautiful doe has been on a roll her entire life. Best in Show as a Junior doe with her tremendous conformation. She freshened with one of the loveliest, most capacious mammary systems our herd has ever enjoyed. Her show record speaks volumes about this doe. 2 x GCH Junior Doe, BISJD, 4 x GCH Senior Doe, 4 x RGCH Senior, 3 x Best Udder, 2 x Best of Breed, Best in Show Senior! She placed 2nd in her class of 21 at the debut ADGA National Show. She just never slowed down. Sadly her young life was cut short by a horrible dog attack. After she died, she was awarded her milking credentials with her *M designation...and then we were informed that she also earned her Superior Genetics designation. Girlfriend, you were a whirlwind...and I miss you terribly!

Although we call this our gallery of champions, Dizzy deserves to be here. She never finished, but she made a tremendous impact on our breeding program and we shall forever miss her!
This little girl is out of one of the BEST mammary systems PromisedLand has to offer, and of course Holy Smoke, son of the late great Opal. We're certainly enjoying her! Dizzy grabbed the Grand her first step into the show ring. What a show! Dizzy freshened with a very very capacious and buttery soft mammary system. She has that perfect 1/3,1/3,1/3 profile when viewed from the side. Her foreudder is smoothly blended into her belly with perfect teat size and placement. Rear udder height? Perfect! Dizzy has certainly earned her place here at the Dill's. And now I must give an update on our Diz...for the past two years she developed horrible mastitis in one side of her udder...last year it was so bad, I thought we were going to lose her. BUT, she pulled through, bred again and produced twin does for me this year. The most amazing thing though...she's perfect! She has zero scar tissue, her mammary system is buttery soft and she milks down to NOTHING! Unfortunately, she has a chronic form of mastitis, so after just 4 or 5 months, it reappeared...I quickly dried her off and now we're waiting to see how she does in 2011. With all that, we're really pleased to have Diz here on our farm!

I waited a long time for a buckskin doe from Kitty that I thought was as nice as the original Lucille. This young lady hit the ground and it took me weeks to give her her name...I finally did after I saw how lovely she was turning out. And then she freshened...oh my! Though I haven't a decent picture of her, Lucille took the Best in Show win at the 2010 Tulsa State Fair as a first freshener. Quite a big deal for us! I'm anxious to watch her mature! As you can see, Lucille is now a finished champion, she's milking so nicely, she'll also have her star this year. She's doing everything her namesake was never able to do in her too short lifetime.

This photo was taken on 4/10/01 when he was 3 years old. Lucky is getting on in years but still has a lot to offer our herd as well as the Nigerian Dwarf breed in general. His daughters are the most stylish, most correct does in our herd. We're hoping to get a few more before Lucky is no longer breeding. He has his own private quarters with a geriatric doe for company, so he's no longer competing with other bucks. Hopefully it will help to keep him young! Keith Harrell has this to say about our guy, "You can see his high sharp withers, natural *uphill* stance, strong topline, excellent rump, good body capacity, strong & smooth front end assembly, and a near perfect rear leg set. Lucky's dam is one of the most impressive Nigerian Dwarves in the breed. She excels in general appearance and has an absolutely magnificent udder.... and, more importantly, she seems to pass these traits along to her kids. Lucky's full sisters, MCH PGCH Twin Creeks Midsumernitedream 2*D (E) and MCH Twin Creeks LS Pixie Fern are proof of that. Go to Twin Creeks Farm and look at the Twink's Pixie Progeny Page and you'll see what I mean. Lucky himself seems to pass these traits along to his offspring too. His kids have shown well, winning Best Udder awards, GCHs and Reserves under several herd names. He has produced at least 2 Junior Get of Sire winning groups. His daughters here at PromisedLand are consistently long bodied, with excellent width, and exceptional top lines and rumps." That just about sums it up. This guy has a lot left to do. We're happy to have him here with us!
Sadly we lost our old man in July, 2005. Lucky has made a huge impact and contribution to the Nigerian Dwarf breed. We are thankful to have had him for his last season. He's sorely missed around here!

We are pleased to announce the return of this young man. I'd like to thank Anita Deupree of Checkerboard Creek Farm for allowing this guy to come home. Catacomb or Catty as he is known by, is a fabulous example of a truly dairy buck. He's long, he's level, and he has one of those long necks we like to see on our does without losing a smidge of his masculinity. I like that!
