This incredible lady is Goodwood Q Damselfly. She is extremely long and level with overall wonderful conformation. As you can see she has a beautiful udder. We are hoping to see that passed on to her offspring as well. I'm looking forward to the kids she will produce for our herd. We've shown her a couple of times now, and each judge has commended her for her tremendous dairy character. Damselfly earned her milking star on one day test, milking 4.6 pounds of milk with a butterfat percentage of 4.3. At EIGHT years old! At nearly 12 years old, Damsel is still standing strong!
We've made the decision to retire Damselfly. She's put in a lot of good years for a lot of folks, our farm included. It's time for her to enjoy her retirement!

What can I say, we have thoroughly enjoyed owning Kitty. She's a beautiful doe and we're thrilled to have her here with us. Kitty handily won her MCH status in tough competition, going on to take the Champion Challenge class by storm! She's an incredible doe, who produces incredible offspring. As many of you know, Kitty is dam to the late beautiful Lucille. I cannot thank Keith and Marie Harrell enough for allowing this beautiful girl to join us. I am overwhelmed. At 10 years old, Kitty is still going strong. She's getting up there in years and it's beginning to show. Kitty developed founder this year, so I've had to remove most of the grain from her diet. In order to keep her weight on, I made the decision to dry her off. It's helped a lot as she's not nearly as tender footed. However, Kitty is still producing beautiful offspring. I always retain one doe from each kidding. If you're interested in a doe kid from her...let me know!

This pretty little girl is the identical breeding as our favorite doe... the late PromisedLand LD Lucille. I cannot even begin to tell you how excited we are to have this girl! Lucky is a sweet little 18 inch tall chamoisee doe. I don't think you'd find one that's friendlier. More importantly though, she has a beautiful udder! It's beautiful like Lucille's, being incredibly high, wide and socked on! Her official milk test qualified her for her star. She produced 2.8 lbs. @ 6.3% butterfat. We continue to see that gorgeous mammary system on our girl as she is now a seventh freshener. Her capacity has increased tremendously over the years and she is now a 4.5 pound producer at her peak. We like even better that she's passing on her beautiful mammary system to her daughters, but not her short stature!

This is Panacea. Another exquisite doe! We took Panacea to her very first show as a junior and she walked out of there with three Grand Champion rosettes...1st in her class under all four judges! Not too shabby! This little gal's pedigree is outstanding! With 5 of the 6 animals in just 2 generations being Master Champions. Panacea's udder is socked on and beautiful! Her foreudder is perfect! She has wonderfully milkable teats, of nice size and softness. Panacea earned her *D status on a one day test milking 3.3 pounds with a butterfat content of 5.2%. Another doe we will build heavily on! She's just fabulous! ***We regret that Panacea developed mastitis this year, so her show carreer is now over. She was fun to campaign, and nearly unbeatable at every show she attended. It hasn't affected her ability to produce lovely babies however...so she'll remain with us as a top knotch brood doe!***

Half sister to our favorite, Shaboom, we couldn't resist adding this beautiful lady to our lineup. Her sire, Commanche is one we've admired for a long time. It's great to be adding his genetics through her. As we get to know Betty, we like her more and more! She's as sweet as the day is long, but more importantly, she's BUILT! I love her tremendous length and levelness. And that width?! Well, you can see for yourself! She's matured beautifully! Her first time in the ring, miss Betty stunned us all and took her Grand. She then went on to grab Best Junior Doe in Show over all the other breeds. We are thrilled! Betty freshened with one of the best quality mammary systems we've seen so far. Being high and wide in the rear, long lateral attachments, near perfect medial suspensory ligament and a fore udder that is smoothly blended into her belly. I'd like to see better teat placement, and also a bit longer teats, however, she's not difficult to milk and has proven to be a tremendous producer. I like that!

And this little doe is my favorite! Giddy-Up is line bred on some of the best genetics available in the breed today. And my has she come through beautifully! She's absolutely incredible! Giddy-Up along with her dam Mimnet won Dam/Daughter pair at the 2004 NDGA National Show! The lovely Giddy took her grand at our first show of the 2005 season. We are so pleased! As you can see by the photo above, Giddy freshened with a lovely socked on mammary system! She earned her *D status on her one day milk test earning her the honor of being a fourth generation milker. Even though suffering a bout of pneumonia and two bouts of mastitis this year, at our first show, Giddy waltzed out with a grand champion senior doe win. Giddy has since finished her championship with AGS and we're now working toward her dual championship with ADGA. She's getting some stiff competition from our younger girls though, so she has to work for it!

This little girl is out of one of the BEST mammary systems PromisedLand has to offer, and of course Holy Smoke, son of the late great Opal. Keith dubbed her Dizzy Blonde, and dizzy she is! Or maybe just confused. LOL She's probably the sweetest little thing we've ever had. We're certainly enjoying her! Dizzy grabbed the Grand her first step into the show ring. What a show! Dizzy freshened with a very very capacious and buttery soft mammary system. She has that perfect 1/3,1/3,1/3 profile when viewed from the side. Her foreudder is smoothly blended into her belly with perfect teat size and placement. Rear udder height? Perfect! Dizzy has certainly earned her place here at the Dill's. ***Dizzy developed a horrible case of mastitis this year along with two other does. The others got over it rather quickly but we nearly lost Diz to it. Thankfully she's pulled through, but I'm afraid her udder is ruined. The scar tissue on one side is horrendous. On the bright side though, she's now as healthy as can be, in good weight and ready to breed again in the fall. She'll never again be a show doe, but she'll always be a wonderful brood animal for our farm.***

This is Baby Mocha as we call her. She's been very very slow to mature, but seems to be coming into her own now that she's three. I watch her out in the pen and can't help but notice the maturity she's showing. She's no longer that long legged lanky kid. Hopefully she'll have the quality mammary system we so admired in her dam. ***On her first freshening, Mocha had a lovely high, wide, tightly attached mammary system. Not tons of capacity. Now as a five year old, Mocha is unstoppable! She's grabbing those grands and reserves right and left...sniffing at her competition! And milk! Holy cow! She's milking like a champ! Way to go Moch!***

Abby has never been a favorite of mine, however she's always had some nice things I liked about her. One of my favorite things was the fact that she's a Luck of the Draw daughter. Well...my opinion has changed...she's truly matured into quite a lovely doe. She's lengthened out considerably, she's leveled out to near perfect. And her capacious mammary system has become one of her best qualities. Her attitude though stinks! When grabbing out a few does to campaign this year, Abby caught my eye and was set to join our show string. She had other plans...I got tired of chasing her, so poor old Feline Lucky got clipped instead! I'll grab Abby on the next go round...she always comes into milk...and then she's mine! LOL

Tranquility freshened with a socked on udder very much a combination of Panacea's and Lucille's. Quite frankly, that's very exciting to us! I'd like to see longer teats, however she milks quite easily and milks down to absolutely nothing! That pleases me.
